Meet Abby, The Keesmaat Homes Interior Designer

In 2023 Abby joined the Keesmaat Homes team, as the Interior Designer that will guide new home buyers through the design selection process.

In her role, Abby collaborates closely with each purchaser to understand their preferences and personal style, assisting them in making choices related to exterior and interior materials, colours and fixtures.

With her expertise she ensures that the chosen finishes align with the individual design style, in order to create their dream home.

Our Design Process

At Keesmaat Homes we welcome home buyers from all over the country to Haldimand and Norfolk County. For purchaser convenience, we have established a design center equipped with a comprehensive array of materials and finishes, all in one location.

Exterior Colour Selections
Step 1

Exterior Colour Selections

During this appointment we will review what comes standard with your new Keesmaat home. Additionally, we will make all exterior and interior material selections, choosing finishes that best reflect your design style.

These selections include:

  • Exterior cladding material and colour (i.e. siding, brick, stone etc.) and shingle colour.
  • Window style, (ie. grille pattern) window types (i.e. casement or sliders) and window colour.
  • Staircase type (i.e. carpet grade, solid wood).
  • Electrical locations for outlets and switches will be installed as per the Ontario Building Code.
  • Electrical locates for cable and internet outlets as well as light fixture package to be selected by purchaser within builder standard options.

Interior Colour Selections and Sign-off

Once everything has been selected, we will review all of your selections from Step 1 & 2, then sign off so we can get your home into production!

  • Review of cabinet layout for kitchen and baths
  • Purchaser to select colours and style of cabinet doors, counter tops, flooring, interior paint colour(s) and fireplace style (if applicable)

Get Inspired

There are a lot of features to think about when building a house, therefore we recommend all of our home buyers get inspired before their design appointment.
